Seychellois Arrested In Kenya With Drugs Worth SH 6,000,000

Police arrest five suspects, search yacht after recovering Sh6m drugs

Anti-narcotics police were yesterday searching a luxury yacht at the Mombasa Port for drugs after it was linked to two kilogrammes of heroin found in a vehicle in Kilifi. The ship was detained in Kilifi on Friday. The Seychellois pilot of the yacht named Iris Baby and four Kenyan suspects were also detained at the port, where the boat was towed to on Sunday. Reports show the two kilogrammes of heroin have a street value Sh6 million. Mombasa Police Commander Robert Kitur told journalists that five men, a Seychellois and the four Kenyans, were under investigation over heroin found in the car in Kilifi town. He said they were arrested on the strength of intelligence gathered from local residents. ''The car which police had trailed following a tipoff from members of the public was found with the drugs, which were (drugs) expected to be taken on board the yacht, which was anchored at the Kilifi Boat Yard,'' he said. The five men, who looked composed, were taken to Kenya Marine Police Station, located within the port and then bundled into a police patrol boat moored to the KPA G section. Yesterday, a multi-agency security team comprising officials from the Kenya Navy, Kenya Police, Kenya Ports Authority's security, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA), Immigration Department, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the National Intelligence Service (NIS) searched the boat as Kenya Navy's Special Boat Unit (SBU) kept watch in speed boats. "We are still searching the yacht and will give you details if we make any discoveries," said Kitur. He said the vessel most likely sailed into Kilifi Creek from Seychelles after making a call in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. "It has come here many times from Seychelles through Dar-es-Salaam," said Kitur. He said the vessel regularly transports tourists on the East African coast and is believed to be owned by a Briton. The yacht is registered in Singapore, police said. Psychotropic substances Last month, a US State Department report warned that Kenya was still a leading conduit for drugs from South Asia. The report said that most of the hard drugs are transported through the Indian Ocean in small vessels to the Kenyan coast and later distributed across three continents. "Kenya is a significant transit country for a variety of illicit drugs, including Southwest Asian heroin and South American cocaine, with an increasing domestic user population...imports of precursor chemicals, including those used to produce methamphetamine and psychotropic substances, are on the rise," said the report.

Traffickers exploit Kenya's long Indian Ocean coastline and lack of adequate security controls at the Port of Mombasa, it added. "Once in Kenya, the heroin is distributed to retail markets and user populations throughout Africa, Europe, and North America. South American cocaine is brought into Kenya by commercial air couriers arriving on international flights to Nairobi for further distribution to other African locations and Europe." In November last year, US agents and Kenya's anti-narcotics police from Nairobi raided the home of the Akasha family in Mombasa and arrested Baktash Akasha, his brother Ibrahim Akasha, Indian drug trafficking convict Vijay Goswami and Gulam Hussein, a Pakistani

  2. These criminals should be harshly punished by Mauritian court, jail them in Mauritian prisons ,and once their sentence over ,they should also face Seychelles justice for their involvement of Narco trafficking into Seychelles..On Mauritius soil ,they ust face Mauritian justice, and that should be separate from their breaking Seychelles laws....Hard durg traffickers should face higher sntences---minimum 40 to 100 years without the possibility of being relelase,or benfitting from Presidential pardon what so ever....

There is no dicators that does not love their people which exlain why they kill them--Gaddiaf loved his people to death that he called them rats and croaches---but the love he reiceved in return from his beloved people was death..Mubarak to,Idi Main,Kim ,Cators and all the res ,they all love their peopleto death that they enslaved them by love..

But does the people love them as they love their people? Well they loathe them.
Yes love is blind ..love is so blind for dicators that they think their people love them because they say so,they think so.The justify their cruelity by making the execuse that "the country is better under my dicatotion"
Winston Churchil says.Dictators ride to and fro upon tigers which they dare not dismount. And the tigers are getting hungry"

  9. Pl is incompetent-----they want to rape the Jury system in order to rape Seychellois individual rights---but the problem is even under the existing JURY system they have not been able to solve any criminal cases .in fact crimes seems tolerated by Pl.....German tourist raped on Praslin--------No investigation---I am dsure the german lady raped could surely describes the perons---Was he black ,blue ,red....how tal..clotheing wearing ,where idd he run----for the path he usesd left behind shoes print...probably pariticles on transpiration of the lady which forensic experts should have been able to collect if they were professional and highly qualified........if needed as in Europe sometimes done---all men should have been call to police for DNA collection ---and that is not that difficult in a population of 9 000 person---when you remove those working and were at work..those self employed ,children going to school. handicaps, olelderly people.kids,,,there is not left more to control than a handful of unemployed ,drug addicts and should allow to apprehend this criminal ....pl failed to apprehend him ,he will recidive sooner than later.

  10. I will show you Pl incompetency----Pl tells us it going to extend roads by 1,5 meters on each side at Providence in order to deal with traffick congestion---Rediculous isnot it?Traffick jam occurs when traffick fiuldity is stop ,,,the flow of traffick in too high on a orad..the solution os not extending sides of road but provide annex roads to the main road of providence--control type of traffick bring high peak.....t^pro^vide early information on traffick condition during high peak that drivers can alter the way in advance,,,,,Pl does not have such ideas ---extend sides of raod .then pl trafick will flow without impediment---as if extending road sides are alterantive to traffick jam----it is as if saying saying extend your toilet than the seize with make you shit easier.if there is too much persons who want to use a toilet pl ,it means there need to be more toielttes in palce .not extending the existing toilet sieze donekys.

  14. Extension of roads on both sides to deal with traffick congestion?i never heard something stupid like this-----traffick congestion is caused by not by the sieze of the road but the movement of traffick......The solutions are---alterantive raods annexation to this existing raods.more carparks,,,,,or regualating time certain vehicles can use this road...etc.........Pl wants to extend the isde of the orad ..1,5 meter on each side and tells us ,,it will solve the congestion at Providence---what are those under educated making in government...?

  18. trial byPanel rapes individual rights, and promote oppressive government ..we must say no to Pl attempt to rape our justice system ,individual rights,Human rights.20.42 that is exact what Pl is looking for is a justice system that would allow Pl thugs to get away with their crimes should the opposition defeat pl in the 2016 election ,the later is a ihgh possibility.Pl wants a judge, probably an illgal foreign judge like Narankannananananan ,bribe him as always tthen he would set them free.....the other things is that Pl can use this dictaotiral system to lock in opponent rapidly by the dictation of the illegal Indain judge Anrananakakanan ,the later should not be in our country as chief justice or naything ,,we soveiregn......

  19. Why PL wants to do away with the jury system is easy to understand, it wants more control over the nation. Without the jury system, the judicial will be completely under PL appointed jurists and they can influence whatever decision they wish. Mathilda Towmmy and Francis Macgregor were placed there for that purpose, to ensure that judgments are always in PL's favour.. Time for real change!
